This themed issue has been prepared in collaboration with The American Diabetes Association (ADA), to coincide with their 70th Scientific Sessions meeting in Orlando, FL on June 26?29, 2010. Four Articles add precision to cardiovascular risk among people with type 2 diabetes, or describe new strategies in pharmacological pathways, dosing, and delivery. Two Seminars examine diabetes mechanisms and epidemiology. Considered in their totality, these publications represent enormous leaps in the understanding of diabetes and the technical ability to lower blood glucose. |
